Renaming a dataset

You will see the dataset appear in your history as "BX". Once it is finished it will turn green then you can click on the name to see a little bit about the dataset. Click on the pencil icon (red arrow) and a form will appear in the center panel that allows you to change some of Galaxy's information about the dataset (known as metadata). All the datasets from the BX table browser will have the same name initially. To avoid confusion later we will rename the dataset now. Replace "BX" with "NA12878 - mother" in the Name box (red arrow). The info and annotation boxes can be used for longer descriptions if desired. The text in the Annotation / Notes box will not be displayed in the history panel by default, it requires you to click on the yellow note icon. The Database/Build box should have Human Feb. 2009 selected, if it isn't you may have been on the wrong build in the earlier step. The blue arrow in the history panel is showing the comment line added by the browser with the column names. Check the box under Number of comment lines and enter 1 in the box next to it (red arrow). Click the Save button in the Edit Attributes section (green arrow).
